Families for a Fair Economy is putting out a press release on Tax Day, and we need your help! We want your quotes about taxes, fairness and corporate loopholes. Here's an example:
"I'm proud to pay my taxes but corporations should step up and do the same," Judy Smith, Bellingham.
You can also post your thoughts on this blog. It's easy!
On April 15, we'll send this release to the media and get our voices heard.

After reading a lot of your Facebook postings and other postings on this Blog, I am convinced this group has little interest in tax fairness and much more to do with promoting the "Progressive"/ Socialist agenda. I am a retired Army veteran. I have run a small business in this state for almost 8 years. I have 3 employees. MY experience with the tax laws here is that the State has absolutely no concern about whether or not I show a profit or not. They demand their cut from my gross revenue in, period! I am seriously considering closing my business. It is just much more of a hassle than it is worth.
ReplyDeleteSmall businesses need our support. We know the economy can't grow unless our small businesses prosper. So why do our small businesses get hit with taxes while Weyerhaeuser can get by without paying ANY state or federal tax? And the company continues to lay off workers and out-source. Why do they get the loopholes? We need to invest in our state, and yes, that means Weyerhaeuser and Microsoft and Boeing have to take some of the load from small biz!
